This lecture deals sich the General Circulation of the atmosphere on Earth, with focus on rather theoretical concepts. The content includes the Hadley cell, monsoonal circulations, the role of eddies in midlatitudes, and the Madden-Julian Oscillation.

Active participation is expected in order to earn the credit points.
